 Well, I will never forget this experience! I painted several little murals in a little cafe in West Haven Ct. After the walls were done, I painted this table. I was so incredibly fun and turned out fabulous!

I actually have paintings or murals in over 6 states! So wonderful!

A Cog in the Works

the story of 2020

 

Ah! 2020! It was a very good year! Huh? Well, some folks actually feel this way while others not so much! Yes, there was great hardship and pain for so many. Confusion, isolation, and even chaos.

This painting actually arrived with me at my creative process after a trip to the dentist. Yes, this is pretty much what it looked like, haha.

Then as it poured out of me and got more and more detail that actually made it look like chaos, I knew it was describing not one dental visit but 2020.

That changed my painting a bit and it became "A Cog in the Works".

Yet, as you see, beauty came from 2020 in many ways and for me, it led me back here. This blog, this art studio, this creative way to express myself and make a difference in others' lives.

This one. Oh my. For a second I was like WHY are fish showing up all over the place? Well, I got it. Life goes how it goes. What shows up does and we roll with it! It is all about rolling with the waves, soaring through the surf, and being with what is.

I might say "Oh I already painted three underwater scenes" and cover it over and create something else. But I want to allow life, and more particularly, my painting to arrive as it wants to. Go with the flow perhaps. Hmmm.

The metaphors keep showing up for dinner here and I am loving it.

Here this painting was a few stages back! Allowing, flowing, opening, and not resisting WHAT IS!
