Seeing beauty in what might be considered ugly, the hard parts that we walk through, never realizing until we are far past them, what gems we were given. The gifts.

This painting sprang from and exudes love, joy, peace, and surrender to what is. Together we dance, we sing and we play! The heart pours with love, with despair, with strawberries! 

Wait, what? Strawberries? Hahaha Okay, strawberries are a part of my heart, how about yours?

JOY PARTY

 This beautiful 16 in X 16 in painting was such a JOY to create!

As a kid growing up around flowers and gardens it became my JOY!

Thus it is no surprise when I sit down to create that flowers and leaves and stems all show up for the JOY PARTY!

The colors alone exude joy! The word "JOY" set among a teardrop shape outline says there is always joy amidst tears, always.

Yes, sometimes it is in hindsight after time has gone by, but it is there.

                                           "Allegory of Love"

What a journey this has been! It is amazing what is revealed to us in a painting! Incredible!! It can be about ourselves or about others. Things open up and reveal themselves as the painting unfolds and we see our own personality and relationships with others too.

Colors often reveal a lot and I know some folks end up with a lot of dark colors. Mine are full of love and joy and are peaceful! You might call these symbols but really they are snippets of me and my world. 

The bird Hahaha I spend a lot of time around birds here at the lake and love them so much! I will admit that I have never seen a pink one with funny legs standing on a heart! I just love it so much!

Find the love, count the hearts! Oh my! Do you see sweet caregiving? How about the music? Anchoring? A bird flying free under the moon? Fish? A cat? A dancer or two? Flowers? Love and more love!

I hope you enjoy viewing this as much as I did in creating it. It was a lengthy process and a beautiful one!

LISA'S PAINTING

For now, this is called Lisa's "Painting." Last night it was mine and last night I asked her if she wanted it as my gift to her. She said "YES!"

This painting is so near to my heart for so many reasons. I often paint water, hearts, stars, and flowers. Most often I add bees.

This one has an added bonus of a bottle with stars pouring out! It will have an added gem, a message inside! Ah! How fun!

I think I will also create a real message that goes with the painting!

It is not done but will be soon! How exciting for both of us!

"Home"

Home!

Yes! This painting was after I "got home" from a little side trip! Well, you see, if you read my post on avoidance you saw I took a little side trip into abstract! The funny thing is, like often happens, I found my way home!

Not only that but found myself in a better place than before I left! Yes! Adding some new techniques to my repertoire has been such a joy and a blessing. To combine the two, abstract and realism has been so fun! Getting back to my "flower garden" has been too.

This one, created in alcohol inks and acrylics really made such a great combination to then highlight in white. Oh yes, there was a challenge when I began but as always, it all works out~the metaphor for life.

Learning to honor the process and stand in the knowledge that it will all be great if I want has been learning but I am quick to stop that shop talk when it begins! Hooray!
